Classic Movie Poster REDUX: Steven Spielberg's "Jaws" [1975]

With the 4th of July upon us and many beachgoers getting their sun tan lotion and beach towels ready, this week's movie poster is a friendly reminder to stay out of the water.

Steven Spielberg's classic shark thriller of 1975 was actually set on July 4th (when beaches are packed). The film recouped it's production cost in its first two weeks at the box office and spawned three sequels which combined, failed to gross even half of the original.

Here are several minimalist movie posters of this classic thriller...Happy 4th of July!

GREAT re-dos! I saw JAWS at a screening BEFORE anyone know diddlysquat about it. Consequently, the scares were SO intense and profound. LOVED it. I saw many movies at the old DGA Theatre that way – back in my showbiz days including a wonderful and largely forgotten movie, The Man Who Would Be King. John Huston, Sean Connery, AND Michael Caine were present after for a panel! That was a WOW!
