Macaulay Culkin's iPod
Macaulay Culkin, the childhood star of the über-successful "Home Alone" films, has a new gig. He's been deejaying once a month at a "multi-media art cabaret" in New York City. You heard right.OK, well, it's not really deejaying because he doesn't get behind any DJ equipment nor is there actually any DJ equipment to be found during his monthly party. What can be found, however, is Mr. Culkin ("Mack" to his friends) hanging out at the bar, his personal iPod plugged into the sound system and a whole lot of people dancing (and drinking) to assorted pop and indie rock music (with just the right amount of old-school hip-hop thrown in) from the 70s, 80's and 90's. Oh, and TV screens playing vintage WrestleMania matches. That.
Welcome to Macaulay Culkin's iPod - a monthly event held at (le) poisson rouge in New York's West Village. I was granted the opportunity to shoot the event as well as a rare on-camera interview with Mr. Culkin himself (and party co-creator Brett Tabisel) to discuss his faux "celebrity DJ gig" (the second Thursday of every month) at the popular art and music venue. Here's the video (make sure to watch it in HD). Enjoy...
Mack & me after the shoot...

NOTE: "Movie Poster of the Week" will return next Tuesday with Ridley Scott's "Alien"
