With Summer just around the corner, I thought it was a good time to get outdoors with everybody’s favorite pet (besides Buddy the Mischievous Pug), the AT-AT. You know, the primary assault vehicle during the Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back? Well, French Canadian stop-motion animation filmmaker Patrick Boivin has turned this behemoth of a war machine into a house pet that would be the pride and joy of any dog lover. Seriously.

What if some of the most terrifying horror movie characters of the 1970's and 1980's were alive today? Well, Italian photographer Federico Chiesa and make-up artist Carolina Trotta have teamed up to give us a glimpse of how they might be living in their Horror Vacui (Latin for "fear of empty space") series of photographs. And it ain't pretty. Alone and lonely in their twilight years, you almost feel sorry for them. Almost.
