There’s a new podcast in town, my friends. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Podcast was officially launched at the Alliance’s annual dinner on October 21, 2021. It features dynamic conversations with the most influential business and community leaders in South Florida. The podcast is home to the Leadership Speaker Series which are held via ZOOM and have featured business leaders such as Ted Christie, CEO of Spirit Airlines, Peggy Johnson, CEO of Magic Leap, Gregory Haile, President of Broward College, Matthew Caldwell, Florida Panthers CEO, and a host of other South Florida business and community leaders.
During my video recordings for the 2021 Alliance’s Leadership Awards (you can check out the videos for this year’s winners HERE), they allowed me to also record a separate (and considerably longer) interview with a few of the winners. The first in that series is my interview with Dr. George L. Hanbury II, President and CEO of Nova Southeastern University (NSU), followed by an interview with Rufus James, Director of the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport FXE.
My next interview is with Imran Siddiqui, Associate Vice President, BC Eduventures & BCEx, Broward College. Imran discusses Broward College’s unique BCEx entrepreneurship program which helps BC students, faculty and staff turn their business ideas into reality. The program features an Accelerator, Innovation Hub and even offers a venture fund. Siddiqui, a native South Floridian and an attorney by trade, also opens up about his inspiration in leading the program and his goal of making entrepreneurship accessible to all.
Give it a listen…
