Nathan was born with a congenital heart defect so severe that in most places in the world, he would have been put in a corner of the nursery and allowed to die. Fortunately, he was born in South Florida and mere hours after he was born, Nathan was rushed to Miami Children’s Hospital and operated on by Dr. Redmond P. Burke, Director of Cardiovascular Surgery and resident “miracle worker”. Here is Nathan’s amazing story.
