Very happy to announce that my award-winning short documentary film GRAFSTRACT: The Bronx Street Art Renaissance will screen this Wednesday, October 21, at the 4th edition of Muestra Internacional de Cine Independiente SURMIC which takes place from October 20-23 in the city of Puerto Montt in Chile.

The goal of SURMIC is to exhibit works whose aesthetic and thematic proposal discuss cultural identity of the local origins of the filmmakers, to create entertainment and cultural knowledge for the audience. SURMIC also seeks to be a meeting space between independent film production and the public to encourage creativity and provide a forum for dissemination of contemporary filmmaking and global cultures.
El objetivo de SURMIC es exhibir obras cuya propuesta estética y temática hable sobre identidad cultural de los lugares de orígenes de los realizadores, con el fin generar entretención y conocimiento cultural a la audiencia, además ser un evento de carácter no competitivo que busca ser un espacio de encuentro entre el cine de producción independiente y el público, fomentar la creación y ofrecer un espacio de difusión de la producción cinematográfica y la cultural contemporánea.
