Motivational speaker Kirk Nugent presents “Pursue Your Passion” recorded in Miami as part of my documentary film “P.A.T.H.“. The film went on to win “Best Florida Film” at the 2010 Sunscreen Film Festival and is finally available on DVD. Kirk’s piece is so powerful that I wanted to share it with all of you…enjoy!
BONUS FOOTAGE: Here’s an interview with Kirk Nugent that was recorded after his presentation and is not available on the film. Kirk talks about how he first came into writing poetry, his influences and his strained relationship with his abusive father.
Are you pursuing your passion? Share your story!

“Live your dreams or live your excuse” Simple language powerfully spoken.
Information is bursting at our seems. Ideas are deliver at unprecedented speed. We are over whelmed with wisdom and advice. We need to slow down our consumption and act on what moves us.
I’ve heard Kirk’s message a thousand times. I delivered Kirk’s message a thousand times. I wholeheartedly subscribe to his dream.
Yet something about his message makes me question if I really do. The only truth I know is the truth I live by.
The truth is, I choose to live by dreams in most areas of my life. The truth is, I fail miserably in one particular area. The story I tell is simple, I am not perfect andI accept me for who I am.
Is that the truth or an excuse? Probably a little of both. In this particular area, I know it is an excuse. I will not achieve my greatness unless I address my excuses.
The truth is, I needed to hear your message today.
Thank you Kirk.
