Filmmaker Eliot Rausch‘s  short documentary work has personally inspired me in my own productions. Gritty and raw, Rausch draws out the humanity in all his subjects. Like me, he also directs and edits his own work (a huge advantage, in my opinion). Here’s a powerful award-winning short video documenting the final day of Oden, a dog who succumbs to cancer; and his impact on the life of his owner.

Nice video Dan.  What did you use to shoot it?  I'm assuming you made no use of lights.  How did you avoid noise while capturing the stairway scenes with the bike?  I'm curious because I haven't been able to crack that puzzle with my Panasonic GH2.  I've heard there's a hack to bump up the ISO and amount of MB/second captured.

Not my video. It was directed by L.A. filmmaker Eliot Rausch (you can find his info in the post body before the video). Stairway scenes weren't that dark. GH2 is rather good in low light even with higher ISO.
